“Heather!” Pep screamed slapping her face and pulling her close. “I know you wasn’t dancing with that guy on a slow-song. What? In front of our classmates?”
She slapped her again. Pep anger mounted to rage. After the stars cleared, Heather started to think. She knew Pep was mad, and she was still choking the shit out her! Heather balled up her fist and thrust it forward, hitting Pep as hard as could in the stomach. Pep wasn’t expecting it, so when the pain hit her, she quickly let her go, grabbed her stomach, and released her neck. Heather pushed her with all her might and she fell backward hitting the ground. Heather took off running for her car before Pep got up screaming at her. Heather was afraid for her life.
Jacky was coming out the house and when she saw her friend running for the car, she too, immediately started running. She ran even faster when she heard Heather scream.
“My God, Heather, what is the matter?” she asked as they reached the car at the same time. She could see something was wrong.
“Hurry, get in the car, let’s go. Pep is here and she’s mad as hell. She saw me on the dance-floor, slow dancing with this guy,” she expressed with panicked breath. “Oh my God, Jacky, let’s go!” They both ran to the same door, and Heather tried the handle. “Hurry up, Pep will be here in a minute.” With trembling hands, she grabbed the keys from Jacky and then Pep let out a scream. Heather jumped, therefore Jacky took the keys back and opened the door. She could see Heather was in a state of fear.
“Heather! You come here right now. I mean it, too!” Pep screams were loud but she couldn’t see her yet, they had gotten into the car.
“No, no! Drive off Jacky! she’s mad.” Jacky looked at her friend and for the first time, and she noticed two hand prints on her face.
