About the Author

Jacqueline Singleton is the youngest girl of six girls and four boys born to Helen I. Barber and Troy Singleton. She has one daughter, three sons, three grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren.

Raised in Northwood Manor on the northeast side of Houston, Jacqueline attended M.B. Smiley High School and Pasadena High. She excelled in track, volleyball, and as a member of the debate team. Having two boys early in life, altered her plans of becoming a lawyer however she continued her education, getting a GED from Texas Southern University, and attending the University of Houston, Downtown.

Jacqueline discovered early in life that she had a gift for writing and wrote several manuscripts before the age of 21. On The Other Side was written when she was 18-years-old, after she became enamored with Harlequin books. She decided to try her hand in writing her own love stories.

She is currently working on two books. Although her books come with a twist that makes them different from mainstream publications, she says she is told they are very good and easy to read. Jacqueline states, “My joy is bringing love stories to a new level and opening up lives and relationships for today’s society.”
